Open day for scientists and students – participation in the Lublin Festival of Science 2010 „Science – an adventure of life”

       The participation of the IUNG-PIB in The Lublin Festival of Science 2010 „Science – an adventure of life” (LFS) organized by the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin embraced lectures, presentations, films and field excursions organised in Puławy. They concerned agriculture and agriculture-connected issues of biology, medicine, veterinary, chemistry, economy. Very interesting part of the offer was the visit in the IUNG meteorological station. About 400 visitors took profit to visit IUNG during those open days, mainly as school-organized groups (15) from Lublin region.
      Three IUNG presentations (“Modern agriculture and nature protection”, “Activity of meteorological station in Puławy”, “Nature protection forms in Poland”) were rewarded by the LFS Organizing Committee.
