"The role of science and advisory services in support of innovation of Polish agriculture"

The main aim of the Conference was to present the role of the scientific institutions, in the cooperation with advisory services, in the implementation of the latest achievements in soil management and crop production as well as the application of the modern biotechnology methods as the supporting tools for Polish agriculture.

The conference was organized by Department of Extension and Information of IUNG-PIB in the period of 18th-19th June 2013.

The programme of the Conference embraced three sessions. Two of them "The activity IUNG-PIB for agricultural advisory" and "Technology Consulting vs. changes in Polish agriculture” included oral presentations - abstracts of all presentations are included in the Conference Materials edited by the IUNG. The third session „Advisory, agricultural practice and research"  covered the field trip to the IUNG Agricultural Experimental Station in Grabów as well as the visit in the Agricultural Advisory Centre in Radom.

The participants of the Conference (154 persons) represented main agricultural research institutions in Poland, Polish Ministry of Agriculture, agricultural advisory centers, farmers organizations, local administration, agricultural schools and fertilizers industry.
