Miss Panagioula Mathiou came to IUNG on 1 May 2010 for a period of 3 months. She comes from Greece, where she is a student at the Agricultural University of Athens, in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development.

The purpose of her visit is a training in the Department of Agrometeorology and Applied Informatics on the subject of economic potential of biomass in Poland. Her direct supervisor is Prof. Antoni Faber. She is also planning to gather information about Polish agricultural practices concerning energy crops, as she prepares her thesis entitled “Economic evaluation of perennial energy crops in Poland”.
